With a background in the art industry and law, David T. Schlendorf served as Hanlon Sculpture Studio project manager from 2013 to 2025. Responsible for all aspects of a mid-size company, he helped secure contracts coast-to-coast that were among the largest in the studio’s history. David T. Schlendorf’s daily activities ranged from sales to troubleshooting, and he also provided legal counsel when contractual issues arose.

Mr. Schlendorf excelled in varsity football while studying political science at Fordham University. Later, as a successful professional, he devoted time and effort to the sport by taking on the role of Toms River Youth Football League president. He enjoys watching sports of all kinds, from football to basketball, and is also a cinema enthusiast.

Mr. Schlendorf has taught Sunday School and assisted with events, including his congregation’s annual Christmas show. Following Hurricane Sandy in 2012, he worked to facilitate relief efforts in distributing food and clothing. Mr. Schlendorf excelled in Mock Trial while pursuing a juris doctor at St. John's University School of Law and has since coached high school students in the discipline.
